Fillers
The fillers used for volumization are made of a substance called hylauronic acid. It is a lab-made copy of the naturally occurring hyaluronic acid in our tissue. It is not derived from any animal, and no skin testing is required.
Fillers are used to restore lost facial volume, enhance natural curvatures, treat wrinkles, and to increase lip fullness.
During a treatment, Dr. Amber Bocknek will slide a small needle (about the size of an eyelash!) into the tissue. As the needle is withdrawn, the filler is injected under the skin and its jelly-like structure volumizes the area.
Results last for many months and each treatment is tailored to your specific desires.

A speciality filler called Radiesse is being used in an exciting anti-aging frontier known as “Biomodulation”. Biomodulation refers to the process of modulating or influencing biological structures to enhance and rejuvenate the skin’s structure and appearance. Radiesse is a dermal filler that is sometimes used for biomodulation, particularly in the treatment of facial wrinkles and volume loss.
Radiesse is a dermal filler made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. Calcium hydroxylapatite is a substance that is found naturally in human bones, making Radiesse a biocompatible material. Radiesse is commonly used to restore lost facial volume, particularly in areas where the skin has started to sag or show signs of aging. It can add structure and support to areas that have lost collagen and fat. One of the key aspects of biomodulation with Radiesse is its ability to stimulate the production of collagen. Collagen is a crucial protein that provides structure and firmness to the skin. As Radiesse is injected, it creates a scaffold that supports the skin and encourages the natural production of collagen over time.
In addition to facial applications, Radiesse is sometimes used for hand rejuvenation. It can address volume loss in the hands, improving the appearance of wrinkles and veins.
