Latisse for luscious eyelashes

Latisse is a prescription medication used for the treatment of hypotrichosis, a condition characterized by inadequate or not enough eyelashes. The active ingredient in Latisse is bimatoprost.

Here’s how Latisse works:

  1. Lengthening the Growth Phase: Latisse works by extending the growth phase of the eyelash hair cycle. The growth cycle consists of three phases: anagen (active growth), catagen (transitional), and telogen (resting). Bimatoprost prolongs the anagen phase, allowing eyelashes to grow for a longer period before naturally falling out.
  2. Increasing the Number of Hairs: Latisse also stimulates the growth of additional eyelash hairs, increasing the overall density of lashes. This is achieved by promoting the conversion of vellus (short, fine, and unpigmented) hairs into terminal (longer, thicker, and pigmented) hairs.
  3. Darkening and Thickening: In addition to promoting longer and denser lashes, Latisse can also enhance the pigmentation and thickness of the lashes. This can result in darker, more noticeable eyelashes.

While Latisse has been shown to be effective for many users, individual responses can vary. Possible side effects may include eye redness, itching, or darkening of the eyelid skin, and it’s essential to follow the prescribed instructions and stop use and notify us immediately if you experience any adverse reactions.

If you are interested in using Latisse, it’s crucial to consult with Dr Amber before the first use, as this is a medication and we need to assess whether it is suitable for you and provide you with proper guidance on its application and potential side effects.

You may order this online but, pick up must be done in person in office so that we can review the medication with you
